JAMMU, Mar 26: A woman allegedly committed suicide by consuming some poisonous substance at her residence in Udhampur district.
According to a police spokesperson, the woman identified as Bimla Devi (40) wife of Girdhari Lal, a resident of Koldi (Udhampur), was shifted here at GMCH this afternoon after she consumed some poisonous substance at her residence.
However, the woman passed away this evening during treatment. The body of the deceased was shifted to mortuary room of the hospital for conducting post mortem.
The concerned police had taken cognizance of the matter.
