JAMMU, Mar 26: With an aim to provide an opportunity to the signers of the state and explore their talents, ‘Choona Hai Aasman’ is a regular initiative of J&K Police, held under Civic Action Programmes and the 5th Season of the event was held at Police Auditorium, here today.
Director General of Police, J&K K Rajendra Kumar was the chief guest on the occasion, while Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Pawan Kotwal, Suraj Singh, Ravi Sharma and Renu Sehgal also graced the occasion with their presence.
Winners from Range Level Talent Hunt held recently took part in Zonal Level Talent Hunt Programme.
Total 27 singers (male and female) from all 4 ranges of Jammu zone took part in the event of solo songs.
In Junior Male Category, the first place was bagged by Master Karan Kumar, second place went to Master Shoyab Kandroo and third places was bagged by Master Danish Khursheed.
Similarly, in Junior  Female Category,  the first place was bagged by Varsha Jamwal,   while the second place in this category was bagged by  Aashi Kailash and third places was claimed by Riya Manhas.
In senior Male Category, the first place was bagged by Surinder Kumar, while the second place was clinched by Raman Salathia and the third place went to Aisaan Asgar.
In senior Female Category, the first place was bagged by Sushmeta,  while the second place went to Urmila Devi and the third place went to Mehak Gupta .
On the occasion the chief guest distributed the prizes among the winners of this event by awarded trophy along with certificate and cash worth Rs 15000, Rs10000 and 5000 each to winners of the first three places respectively.
Earlier, this programme started with the welcome address by IGP Jammu, Danesh Rana, who highlighted the importance of the function and welcomed all the gathering.
The programme was organized by Zonal Police Headquarter Jammu under the overall supervision of IGP Jammu.
The vote of thanks was presented by Ashkoor Wani, DIG of Police JKS Range.
The programme was witnessed by the Sr. Officers of the police department/civil administration, the members of the PAWWA, Retired Police officers, prominent citizens and college students.
The programme was anchored by Ashish Gupta and Anjusha Sharma.
The winners of Zonal Level competitions will move forward to the state level competitions called grand finale where constants from both the zones will compete with each other.
