SRINAGAR, Mar 28: A drug peddler in Sopore area of North Kashmir’s Baramulla district was booked under Public Safety Act (PSA).
A police official said the peddler namely Shabir Ahmed Shah alias Ashiq Kabali has been booked under PSA and has been lodged in District Jail Udhampur today. “He was highly involved in drug menace in Sopore Town. He was also involved in selling illicit liquor, codeine phosphate and other banned substances to the youth of the area,” he said.
Station House Officer, Sopore, Masarat Ahmad said they have tightened the noose around the drug mafia and will strictly act against drug peddlers and smugglers.
