JAMMU, Mar 29: The dead body of an unidentified man of age about 43 years was today recovered from Gandhi Nagar area of city outskirts.
According to a police spokesman, in unconscious condition a man appears to be a beggar was spotted by some passersby along Apsara Road at Gandhi Nagar, late this morning.
He said that they shifted the body to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) Jammu, where doctors declared him as brought dead. The dead body has been shifted to mortuary room of the hospital for identification and post mortem.
A case in this regard has been registered at police station Gandhi Nagar, where police has started inquest proceedings under Section 174 CrPc.
