JAMMU, Mar 30: Describing the `Agenda of Alliance’ as the election manifesto of PDP as anti-Jammu, the J&K National Panthers Party activists held a strong protest demonstration at Exhibition ground near Press Club here today.
Led by chairman of the party Harshdev Singh, State president Balwant Singh Mankotia and State president Young Panthers Yashpal Kundal, the party workers were raising loud slogans demanding review of CMP and incorporation of Jammu related issues in it, before the formation of the coalition Government. The angry protestors torched the copies of the “Agenda of Alliance” terming the dossier as anti-national and anti-Jammu.
While assailing the BJP for creating political impasse in J&K for over two and a half months, Harshdev Singh accused Saffron Party of keeping the State Assembly under suspended animation unconstitutionally for buying time to lure its ex-ally by unfair means. He said that Mehbooba Mufti’s tantrums to take oath as Chief Minister at her whims and fancies clearly indicates that BJP was dancing to her tunes. He revealed that speculations were rife that she had dominated the BJP to concede her unwarranted demands of CBMs before forging a re-alliance.
Admonishing the Saffron brigade for falling flat before the PDP, Mr. Singh said that BJP had brazenly sold the interests of Jammu to Kashmir by initiating the implementation of PDP centric `Agenda of Alliance’ which was anti-national and anti-Jammu. He said that the Centre’s proxy directives to Army through Governor for evicting the land from certain zones were a preliminary exercise to open the gates for gradual withdrawal of AFSPA from Kashmir. He further expressed his surprise that BJP on one hand was bashing the supporters of Afzal Guru and other secessionist forces all across the country but on the other hand hobnobbing with the PDP clan which had been a staunch admirer of the Parliament attack convict and the Hurriyat leaders.
Mr Mankotia and Mr Kundal also addressed the gathering. They vowed to oppose, expose and depose the BJP in case it failed to stand up to the expectations of the people of Jammu Pradesh.
