Eminent writer Ved Rahi interacts with JU scholars, students

JAMMU, Mar 31: Post Graduate Department of Dogri, University of Jammu, organized an interaction programme of Ved Rahi, an eminent Dogri Fiction Writer & Film Director in the Department, here today.
While interacting with the students and scholars of JU, Ved Rahi, who has many books to his credit, spoke in detail about the literary genres in which he penned down. He said that the literature is a reflex of life and he also made some references from his writings in this context. In his speech, he professed on the contribution of his fellow writers and writers of other Indian languages whose writings immensely influenced and inspired him. He recited a few couplets of his poems on this occasion. He also distributed his recently published book entitled “Anant” among students and scholars free of cost.
Prof Shiv Dev Singh Manhas highlighted literary qualities of the Novel ‘Anant’ of Ved Rahi.
Prof Parmeshwari Sharma, HOD Dogri,   also spoke on the occasion and highlighted many distinctive qualities of Ved Rahi’s personality.
Dr Sushma Sharma presented vote of thanks while proceeding of the progamme was conducted by Dr Sandeep Dubey.
Earlier, Prof Archana Kesar, Convener, BOS in Dogri, introduced the guest to the audience.
