Srinagar, Mar 31: Security forces today arrested a local militant from Langate area of Handwara in North Kashmir’s Kupwara district.
Sources said police along with army’s 21 Rashtriya Rifles arrested the militant identified as Tasaduq Ahmad Pir of Bakihakar village Handwara during a search operation. The militant is being questioned, they said.
Meanwhile, the police arrested a person in Dachi Kamal Kote area of Uri in Baramulla district and recovered a grenade from his possession. The person has been identified as Khaki Hussain Shah. “A case under FIR number 13/2016 U/S 7/25 I.A.Act stands registered in this regard,” the sources said.
