RAJOURI, Mar 31: The Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Rajouri today suspended seven employees of Health Department posted at CHC Thannamandi in district Rajouri today.
An official spokesman told the Excelsior that CMO Rajouri, Dr Chaman Bhasin conducted surprise visit to Community Health Centre Thannamandi at around 2.30 pm today. He found 11 employees including Dr Shahbad Ahmed Mirza (Dental Surgeon) unauthorisedly absent from duty.
The CMO placed seven employees under suspension and directed BMO, Darhal-Thannamandi to seek explanation of four employees.
Those suspended were identified as Hamid Arif Mirza- Senior Dental Technician, Shabir Ahmed Wani- X-Ray Technician, Razwan Rashid Shawl-Lab Technician, Shaheen Akhtar and Sonia Kouser- both FMPHW, Atta Ullah Mirza OT Tech and Mohd Maqsood-Nursing Orderly.
The CMO sought the explanation of Dr Shahbad Mirza, Lady Health Visitors Maqsooda Begum and Shamim Akhtar and Junior Assistant Parveen Akhtar within two days. The suspended employees were directed to report to the Medical Superintendent District Hospital, Rajouri.
