JAKARTA, Apr 1: The deputy governor of Indonesia’s central bank Mirza Adityaswara said on Friday that Bank Indonesia wants to manage inflation around 4-4.5 percent at the end of this year. Indonesia’s annual inflation in March was 4.45 percent, the statistics bureau said earlier on Friday. The central bank’s official target for inflation is 3-5 percent. Adityaswara told reporters inflation may cool this month after the government cut fuel prices and ordered transportation tariffs to be lowered. But Bank Indonesia also expects price pressures to increase as the harvest season ends and demand rises ahead of the Muslim fasting month in June, he added (AGENCIES)
