JAMMU, Apr 1: State president of Shiv Sena ( Bala Sahib Thackeray ) Dimpy Kohli has demanded that the Lokpal Act must be extended to the State to empower the State Accountability Commission (SAC) to investigate and prosecute graft cases.
While addressing the media persons at Party Headquarters at Indira Chowk Dimpy Kohli along with vice president Sandeep Bhagat, State secretary Raj Singh and Rajan Gupta said that their party fully agrees with the demand raised by Chairman of State Accountability Commission, Justice B A Khan and its members that Lokpal Act must be extended in the State of Jammu and Kashmir.
He said callousness approach of people in power in the State is the main reason that this demand has been raised by SAC Chairman which is also very unfortunate. He said that this is the duty of the Government to empower agencies investigating graft cases.
