AMRITSAR: BSF today seized 3.5 kg of heroin smuggled from Pakistan having street value of Rs 17.5 crore near Uddhar Dhariwal border outpost here.
BSF DIG Punjab Frontier R S Kataria said suspicious movement was observed ahead of border security fence Border Out Post Uddhar Dhariwal shortly past midnight.
A search operation was carried by BSF troops and they recovered four packets weighing 3.5 kg of the contraband near the fence, he said.
The drug consignment was smuggled to India from Pakistan, Kataria said. (AGENCIES)
