CPPWU demands early start of work on Hydroelectric Projects

KISHTWAR, Apr 3:  A meeting of Chinar Power Projects Workers Union, district Kishtwar, was held under the chairmanship of Joginder Bhandari, wherein they discussed employment related matters.
The participants urged the State as well as Central Government to start work on Pakal Dul, Kero , Kawar, Rattle, Burser, Karthi hydroelectric projects so that the unemployed youths of the State could be absorbed in these projects and power could be also generated.
Joginder Bhandari said the work on the Rattle hydroelectric project Drabshalla was left half way by its client M/s GVK for the reason best known to the Government, which instead of blacklisting the client, gave safe passage to leave the work of the project and no penalty was imposed it.
