38 new addl judges appointed to 5 HCs

NEW DELHI: 38 new additional judges have been appointed to at least five high courts, bringing down the vacancy position from 465 to 427.

Official sources in the Law Ministry said today that fresh appointments have been made in seven high courts, including Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Allahabad, Jharkhand and Himachal Pradesh in the last two days.

While their warrants of appointments have been signed by the President, the notifications are being issued.
