JAMMU, Apr 9: The dead body of an unknown male of age about 25 to 35 years was found today from Sangr-ampur road in city outskirts.
According to a police spokesman, some passersby noticed a male dead body with its upper portion including face, neck and one of the arms burnt partially, lying along Sangrampur road near Baroza factory, around 8.30 am today.
“They informed the police, which reached the spot and shifted the body of the deceased to mortuary room of Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu for identification and post mortem”, the spokesman said.
He said prima facie it appears that the deceased man was shot to death by some unknown persons, who deliberately burnt his face to hide his identity.
“In this connection, a case FIR No 108/2016 under Section 302 RPC 3/25 Arms Act was registered at police station Domana and investigations started”, the spokesman added.
