KATRA, Apr 9: Pawan Kumar, main accused in gang rape and murder of a 9-year old girl, who had escaped from the custody in Katra Police Station on February 29, has been re-arrested today by Katra police.
The arrested accused had already confessed his involvement in rape and murder of the 9-year old girl, who had gone missing on January 24-25 and later her dead body was found in a small rivulet on February 8.
Three cops, including an ASI, posted at Police Station Katra, were placed under suspension after the rape accused had escaped from police custody on February 29.
SSP Reasi, Sujit Kumar had constituted three special teams, which conducted series of raids to apprehend the accused, who was finally re-arrested today.
