‘Chinese & Thai Food Festival’ begins at Orchid Restaurant

JAMMU, Sept 14: Fortune Inn Riviera, member of ITC’s hotel group is celebrating ‘Chinese and Thai Food Festival’ at Orchid, the Multicuisine Restaurant of the hotel.
The food festival started today and will be on till September 23, for dinner between 1930 to 2300 hours. Visiting Oriental Master Chef Sadashanker has been flown in to add authenticity and showcase the signature Chinese and Thai delicacies to Jammuites.
General manager, Rakesh Dogra said, ” It has been our constant endeavour to introduce Jammuites to regional as well as international cuisines. Chinese and Thai cuisines offer exciting range of Vegetarian dishes, in starters, main course and desserts.
Chinese cuisine is nay of several styles of food originating in the regions of China, some of which have become highly in the other parts of the World. Traditional Chinese cuisine is also based on opposites, whereby hot balances cold, pickled balances fresh and spicy balances mild.
Master Chef Sadashankar said, ” We wish to bring out the best of these cuisines during the festival at Fortune to give Jammu the real taste of Thai. Some of the famous dishes that will be showcased during the festival include-Dimsums, Tom Yum Kai, Kung Pao Chicken, Rendang Curry, Cantonese Roast Duck, Pla Phad Kaprao, Hong Kong Sponge Cake, Tab Tid Grob, Darsan and many more.
The décor and ambience of the Restaurant matches with that of Chinese and Thai culture. The smooth finished paper lanterns, dragons, lucky bamboo and Chinese pipe music give the atmosphere the befitting touch.
