30 bovines rescued, 4 arrested

JAMMU, Apr 12: Police rescued 30 bovine animals and arrested four persons from Ban Toll Plaza area of Nagrota.
As per police sources, teams from Nagrota police station laid a naka near Ban Toll Plaza and Jhari-Jagti areas and intercepted a truck bearing registration number JK02AG-7977 and Mahindra Balero bearing registration number JK02BJ-7340.
During checking, police rescued 30 bovine animals from the vehicles and arrested four persons on the spot, who have been identified as Riaz Ahmed, son of Shah Wali of Ramban, Mushtaq Ahmed, son of Noor Allahi of RS Pura, Javed Ahmed, son of Liyakat Ali of Ramban and Mohammad Gola, son of Mian of Domana.
Cases under FIR Numbers 85/16 and 86/16 under Sections 188 RPC and 3/5 PCA Act have been registered at Nagrota police station and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Nagrota Inspector Karan Chalotra made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO Nagrota Bharat Bhushan Sharma and Additional SP Rural Arun Gupta.
