DODA, Apr 12: The villagers hailing from different areas of the district held protest here.
The protesters raised slogans against the Government and the concerned department for not taking action against the vehicles, which are in pathetic condition and still plying on different routes of the district thus endangering the lives of the people.
They stated that there is acute shortage of vehicles plying in different areas of the district and those, which are playing are in deplorable condition and remains over-loaded maximum times.
Citing example of the recent accident in Bidwan area, in which six persons including a minor were killed and 55 other persons received injuries, they said that the accident took place due to over-loading and worst condition of the bus.
They demanded introduction of new fleet of buses for the convenience of the people.
