DDC reviews preparations for ‘Gram Uday Se Bharat Uday Abhiyan’

SAMBA, Apr 13: District Development Commissioner Samba, Sheetal Nanda today reviewed preparations for “Gram Uday Se Bharat Uday Abhiyan”.
The campaign will start on Dr. Ambedkar’s 125th  Birth Anniversary on April 14, 2016 and close on Panchayati Raj Day on April 24, 2016.
On April 14 and 15 Social harmony programmes will be organised in every panchayat of Samba district wherein special gram sabhas will be organised and information about various social welfare schemes will be given.
Plantation drive in the panchayat area and cleanliness drive with focus on collection of polythene will also be undertaken. Villagers will take an oath for the development of the village and the country. From April 16-18 Kissan Gram Sabhas will be organized where Agriculture and allied departments will furnish information about their various schemes.
In Samba, 25 Gram Sabhas will be organised on each day on April 19, 20, 22 and 23 where works to be undertaken as part of Village Development Plan will be approved.
The District Level officers will also attend these sabhas. On April 21, Mahila Gram Sabhas will be organised across the district and Village Health and Nutrition Day celebrated with participation of ICDS and Health Department.
The DDC emphasized upon officers to make it a successful campaign and work with total dedication.
The meeting was attended by ADDC Samba Vivek Sharma, ADC Samba Pawan Sharma, ACD Samba Tilak Raj, DPO Samba Deepak Dubey and heads from various other departments.
