JKNPP’s fact finding committee restrained from moving to NIT Srinagar

UDHAMPUR, Apr 13: Members of the  JKNPP fact finding Committee on the NIT Srinagar incidents, were  today restrained from moving towards Kashmir and taken into custody at Patnitop.
The five- member fact finding committee, headed by State president Balwant Singh Mankotia, was on the way to Kashmir when it was stopped by the Police from proceeding further at Patnitop.  The members were arrested and detained at Batote police station from where they were released later in the evening.
Others who were arrested along with Mr  Mankotia,  included Gagan Pratap Singh, Chetan Sharma, Mohinder Pal Pandu, Bashir-ud-Din, Kewal Krishan Sharma and Kailash Mohan.
