NEW DELHI, Apr 16: Freight rates for the nine-tonne pay load section were higher by Rs 1,000 at the local truck transport market in the national capital today following tight availability of trucks against increased cargo movements.
Transporters said less position of trucks in the markets against pick up in cargo movements, mainly pushed up some of centres freight rates.
Delhi to Guwahati, Kochi and Vijaywada freight rates rose by Rs 1,000 each to Rs 52,000, Rs 74,000 and Rs 51,000.
Rates to Bengaluru, Vijaywada, Goa and Mysore also moved up by Rs 1,000 each to Rs 62,000, Rs 54,000, Rs 53,000 and Rs 67,000.
