JAMMU, Apr 16: 3rd Additional Sessions Judge Jammu, Kishore Kumar today rejected the bail application of one Raj Singh, a resident of Akhnoor, who was arrested by the police in rape with 70 years old woman.
After hearing Advocate T R Wani for the accused whereas APP Sarwesh Gupta for the State, the court observed, “offence allegedly committed by the accused warrants the punishment of life and serious in nature. It is considered to be a menace and threat to the society as a whole”.
“The crime of rape is not only a crime against a person/or woman but it is a crime against the whole society”, the court said while rejecting the bail application.
