Army to conduct tour for Mumbai students

UDHAMPUR, Apr 16: Nagrota based White Knight Corps is conducting a ten day tour for 186 students, Principals and teachers of Mumbai schools.
The schools participating in the tour includes Billabong High International School, St Josephs Convent School, St Mary’s School, Springfield High School, Agnel Technical School, St Stanilaus High School and Dr MIJGH School, said Defence Spokesperson, SD Goswami.
He added that the tour for the students will be the first of its kind and is based on the theme of “Kashmir: The Crown of India”.
The Army will include a large spectrum of activities wherein the students will not only interact with their counterparts from schools at Rajouri but will also witness the spirit of camaraderie and Espirit de Corps of our gallant forces on the border, he maintained.
The series of planned activities include showcasing the combat power, slithering, various technical aspects and air mobility capabilities of our Armed Forces, Goswami said, adding that a visit to the Corps Battle School at Sarol will bring them face to face with various scenarios faced by our troops on the Line of Control and in tackling terrorism and the steadfast determination of our troops in overcoming such challenges.
The tour aims at motivating the students to join the Armed Forces and showcase the humanitarian efforts of the Army in bringing peoples together, he stated.
