Jammu, Apr 16: In separate incidents, three persons were found hanging under mysterious circumstances, here today.
According to Police, 35 year-old Mohammad Sharief, son of Lal Din of Sildhar Mahore, was found hanging from a tree near his house. On being informed, Police shifted the body to hospital for post mortem and other legal formalities.
Inquest proceedings under CrPC 174 have been started, Police said.
Meanwhile, an unidentified youth was found hanging from a tree at Nursery Forest on back side of the Katra Railway Station.
According to SSP Reasi, Sujit Kumar, the deceased appears to be a pilgrim even as his identity has not yet been ascertained.
Inquest proceedings have been started and the body sent for post-mortem.
Meanwhile, Rahil Khajuria (32), son of Jagdesh Dutt Khajuria of Dubi Gali Pancheri, at present Housing Colony, district Udhampur allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself with a ceiling fan.
Udhampur police has taken cognizance in this regard.
