Transporters’ plea to Govt

JAMMU, Apr 16: Several Transport Unions of Jammu today urged upon the Government to withdraw the order with regard to the use of speed governors in their vehicles.
In a meeting of the Transport Unions held here today under the chairman ship Mr Wazir, chairman  All Transport Associations J&K, the  members stressed upon the State Government to withdraw order with regard to installation of  speed governors in commercial vehicles. The members during meeting said that speed governors will not be beneficial in the State being hilly terrain, therefore, the order regarding implementation of the same be withdrawn.
The members also extended gratitude to the Central Govt for giving some relaxation to the State Government. Darshan Mehra, president Mini Bus Operators Union said that it will exert more burden on the transports.
