Samba Police arrests motor cycle lifters, snatchers

SAMBA, Apr 18: Samba Police headed by Inspector Jalil Kichloo, SHO P/S Vijaypur under the supervision of  S. S. Sambyal, SDPO Vijaypur recovered three Motor Cycles bearing Registration Nos. JK02AL/3140, JK21A/0753 & JK02AE/8075 stolen from Vijaypur town.
Accordingly, the three cases  registered under FIR Nos. 27/2016, 45/2016 & 46/2016 u/s 379 RPC P/S Vijaypur have been solved with the arrest of accused person namely  Vikas Kumar son of  Tarsem Lal &  Rajesh Kumar son of Manlu Ram, both residents of Nanke-Chak Samba. Further investigation into the matter are on and recovery of other thefts in other cases by these accused persons cannot be ruled out.
In another incident, the similar team of Police Station Vijaypur arrested two accused namely  Sajjan son of Sadanand resident of Baba Jot Ram Basti Faridkot Punjab and  Sarvan son of Suraj Bhan resident of 93-C, Jhuggian near Indira Colony Mani Majra Chandigarh, at present residing at Shiv Nagar Vijaypur, as both are wanted in case FIR No. 48/2016 u/s 382/34 RPC P/S Vijaypur.
Pertinent to mention here that on 13.04.2016, a shopkeeper of Kiryana shop namely Daljit Singh son of  Ravail Singh resident of Village Rahya Vijaypur lodged an FIR at Police Station Vijaypur to the effect that these  two persons  purchased oil from his shop on 13.04.2016 and asked him to pay back Rs. 400/- and take a note of Rs. 500/- from them. When the shopkeeper gave them Rs. 400/-, they snatched the money and fled away on their motor cycle bearing Registration No. PB37F/7464.
On this, a Naka was laid near Sabzi Mandi Vijaypur where they tried to flee from the spot on seeing the Police Party. Accordingly, they both were nabbed along with the wanted Motor Cycle after giving them a hot chase. During sustained questioning, they revealed that they are working as Painters in Vijaypur/Ramgarh area and also disclosed the whole incident.
