JAMMU, Apr 19: The 2,615th birth anniversary of Lord Mahavira was celebrated with fervor and gaiety by S S Jain Sabha, Jammu today. Paying glowing tributes to Lord Mahavira, Jain Muni, Dr Niranjan Muni Ji Maharaj said the teachings and preachings of Lord Mahavira are relevant even in these days, when the most of the parts of this world is suffering from unrest and militancy. “Ahimsa Parmo Dharma and Jio and Jine Do”, should be the motto of every human being which will be the real tribute to Bhagwan Mahavira.
Speaking on the occasion, Speaker Kavinder Gupta said, “I feel honoured being invited at this program”. He said, Bhagwan Mahavira dedicated his whole life propagating peace and non-violence. His message of “Jio Aur Jine Do” is really relevant in our State; he further said that on this auspicious day, I pray for peace in J&K, which will lead to progress and prosperity.
MLA, Jammu East, Rajesh Gupta said that I am highly impressed with Jain Community, which I have seen from very close and from peace loving members of Jain Taruni Mandal Shraman Sanskriti School who presented cultural program depicting the teachings of Lord Mahavira.
Financial Commissioner, Parmod Jain while paying tributes to Lord Mahavira said that by following the path shown by him, we can set an example for mankind.
Jain Yuvak Sangh hosted a “Preeti Bhog” on the occasion. General Secretary, S S Jain Sabha, Raman Jain conducted the proceedings and President S S Jain Sabha presented bouquets to the esteemed guests.
