JAMMU, Apr 19: Akhil Bhartiya Vidyarthi Parishad has strongly condemned the alleged anti-national activities in Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University (BGSBU) Rajouri on Monday and demanded strict action against those who had tried to disturb the peaceful atmosphere of the educational institutions.
Addressing a press conference, ABVP State joint secretary Abhinav Pandotra, State office secretary Avinash Sethi and ST Students Incharge Manoj Thakur alleged that the university administration was responsible for the whole incident of violence as it denied the police from entering the campus to control the situation.
“Such types of incidents have happened in past also but university has not learnt any lessons. Administration keeps on protecting such anti-national elements and that is why students are repeatedly creating such problems in educational institutions,” they added.
ABVP demanded an enquiry of the whole episode in BGSBU to unmask the anti-national forces which are trying to disturb the peace of the country.
The ABVP also added that media should be allowed in the university to know the real facts behind the violence and demanded police intervention in the matter as the situation may lead to anti-national activities like recent anti-national acts in JNU, HCU and NIT Srinagar.
Jammu Mahanagar joint secretaries Sunil Choudhary and Deepak Gupta were also present during the press conference.
