SRINAGAR, Apr 19: Police today said a man was held in Sarnal area of south Kashmir’s Anantnag district after locals accused him of committing an immoral act.
A police spokesman said that police received information about a person namely Fawad Ashiq Bhat who was caught red handed while doing some immoral act with a girl (name withheld) and beaten by the locals of Sarnal.
“Police rushed to the spot and the accused was taken into the custody. A case under FIR number 94/2016 under Section 294 RPC was lodged against the accused and investigation was taken up,” the spokesman added.
