Sharda Peeth dedicates newly constructed hall to Abhinav Gupt

JAMMU, Apr 19: A newly constructed hall at Sharda Peeth Bantalab was today dedicated to world renowned scholar of Kashmiri Shaivism Acharya Abhinav Gupt whose millennium celebrations are underway all over globe.
The grand hall which was constructed by Sharda Peeth Trust led by Sharda Nandan was today dedicated to the memory of Acharya Abhinav Gupt at a function here. The function was chaired by Acharya Shiv Prasad Raina the State head of Celebration Committee and it was attended by various members of the Committee. The speakers in the function included general secretary of the Committee Pardeep Kaul,  Arunima Ji senior Yoga Teacher from Art of Living, Sharda Nandan, president Sharda Peeth Trust, Sarwanand Ji patron of the Trust and Triloki Nath Raina.
The inaugural function of the millennium year celebrations of Acharya Abhinav Gupt was held in Union Capital last month in which Shri Shri Ravi Shanker head of Art of Living who is heading the Celebration Committee at global level was the chief guest and the two union ministers were also present.
The meeting was informed that the celebrations will continue throughout the year in India as well as abroad. The inaugural function at Jammu will be held on April 26 at Jammu Club. During the function besides Acharya Abhinav Gupt the role of Swami Ramji a another great Shivacharya of 20th Century and his contributions for revival of Kashmiri Shiavism and Abhinav Gupt will be also recalled.
The speakers while recalling the contribution of Abhinav Gupt a great Shivacharya of Kashmir to Indian aesthetics and philosophy said that world especially the Western countries have become the great admirers of this philosophy and Acharya. They said in various countries of world the research is being held on Kashmiri Shaivism and Acharya Abhinav Gupt. They regretted that in India except Banaras University no were research is being conducted on Kashmiri Shaivism.
Terming the Kashmiri Shaivism a Monolithic philosophy, Pardeep Kaul stressed on its propagation so that the future generations are linked to their roots and rich philosophy. He said Kashmiri Shaivdarshan is a great contribution to Indian aesthetics.
He said Swami Vivekananda a revolutionary saint of India was also greatly influenced by Kashmiri Shaivdarshan and he had visited from Kolkatta to Kashmir to meet Swami Ramji a proponent of Kashmiri Shaivism.
On the occasion a newly constructed grand hall at Sharda Peeth Bantalab was dedicated to Acharya Abhinav Gupt and it was decided that seminars and debates besides holding of classes of Shaivism will be held in this hall in future.
This decision of the Trust was highly appreciated by the gathering.
