REASI, Apr 19: Reasi Police has arrested a drug peddler and seized 250 gm charas from his possession, here today.
A Police team, led by Dy SP Headquarters, Mohan Lal along with SHO Reasi, Inspector Dalip Singh, laid a surprise naka at Bhaga and apprehended one Saleem Mohd of Dammi Jhajjar Kotli.
During frisking, 250 gms charas was recovered from possession of the accused. Police arrested the accused and seized the recovered charas besides registering a case under Section 8/20 NDPS Act at Police Station Reasi.
Meanwhile, Police Station Bhawan (Mata Vaishno Devi) has arrested two thieves and recovered stolen items, including a cash of Rs 2000 and shirt of the complainant.
The arrested accused were identified as Surinder and Pardeep Kumar of UP.
The arrest was made by a police party, led by SHO Bhawan Rajesh Sharma, under the supervision of Dy SP Bhawan Munish Kumar.
