JAMMU, Apr 21: The endoscopy machine, which went missing on Tuesday from Super Speciality Hospital, Jammu, was recovered late last night from the concerned doctor’s room.
According to Babila Rakwal, chairperson of the committee, which was constituted by the Principal, GMC Jammu, Dr Zaheed Geelani, to shift the Gastro Department and all related medical equipments to GMC Jammu, the endoscopy machine was recovered late last night from the room of Dr Showket Choudhary.
She said many communiqués were sent to Dr Showket Choudhary to come and cooperate and hand over the machine to us but he refused to cooperate, which compelled us to break open the lock of his office room in SSH Jammu, from where the endoscopy machine was recovered.
She further said that the concerned doctor has already been attached to the office of Principal, GMC Jammu, and as soon as he joins an inquiry will be initiated against him.
