JAMMU, Apr 25: Activists of National Panthers Student Union today held a protest demonstration against alleged neglect of Jammu youth in SBI recruitment drive.
Shouting slogans, the protesting NPSU activists demanded fresh notification for recruitment in which Jammu is also included.
The protest was led by Thakur Virender Singh, State president of NPSU, who lamented that the SBI has launched special recruitment drive only for Kashmir and Ladakh regions while Jammu has been totally ignored.
Mr Singh questioned the criminal silence of BJP legislators on this issue. “Before elections, BJP used to pronounce loud slogans in favour of Jammu and promised to end the discrimination with Jammu region but now the real face of BJP is exposed,” he alleged.
Mr Singh sought to know why youth of Jammu has been debarred from applying in SBI recruitment for the post of Junior Associate (customer support and sale) & Junior Agriculture Clerical Cadre.
