JAMMU, Apr 27: For preservation of the Dal Lake, the State Government has constituted a Monitoring Committee, headed by the Chief Secretary.
The committee shall devise a permanent mechanism for preserving and protecting the Dal Lake. It shall monitor and oversee the implementation of this mechanism.
The committee will comprise Financial Commissioner, Planning and Development Department, Director General of J&K Police, Principal Secretary Forest, Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Commissioner Secretary Finance Department, Commissioner Secretary Housing & Urban Development Department, Commissioner Secretary, Law Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, IGP Kashmir and Secretary Tourism as the Members while Vice-Chairman, Lakes And Waterways Development Authority will be Member Secretary.
