Plea to induct Sikh member in Cabinet

JAMMU, Apr 27: Various Sikh organisations today appealed to the State Chief minister Mehbooba Mufti to induct a Sikh member in State Cabinet and provide representation to the Sikhs community in the present PDP-BJP Government.
Addressing a joint press conference here today the representatives from DGPC Jammu,  Sikh United Front, BKNSS, AISSF,  Sikh Welfare Society and J&K Motor Transport Companies Association pleaded for the induction of a deserving, qualified and experienced member from the Sikh community in the State Cabinet.  They said that this community has been deprived of  due place in the political and other fields.
Surinder Singh Kala convenor, JKMTCA; Mohider Singh from BKNSS and DGPC Jammu member Ramneek Singh, Dharbinder Singh & Fatesh Singh and others  made a strong appeal to the Chief Minister to induct a Sikh member in the State Cabinet and provide justice to the community.
They also demanded setting up of Minority Commission in J&K and resolve issue of  displaced persons from PoJK without any delay.
Prominent among others included  Gajan Singh, Kulwant Singh, Raja Singh, Lachman Singh Gill, Paramjeet Singh, Gurdev Singh, Manmohan Singh and Harpal Singh.
