JAMMU, Apr 30: Appr-eciating the efforts of Police Training Institutions in the State for molding the police personnel in the modern technologies and skills of professional policing, Director General of Police (DGP), K. Rajendra Kumar today said that the Police Training Institutions across the State have been brought on modern lines to instill the essence of discipline and dedication among the police personnel.
Mr. Rajendra was speaking at the function, organised by Police Technical Training Institute (PTTI) Vijaypur to release Training News Letter based on achievements of technical trainings at the campus today. He said sole objective of police training institutions is to improve the image of JKP among the people to inculcate a sense of responsibility among the trainees and realize them to work in an efficient and professional manner in performing the duties in the field.
He stressed upon the training instructors to give special thrust upon the trainees to improve police public relations and avoid human right violations, while performing professional duties and other important assignments in the field.
Mr. Rajendra also took stock of training facilities available in the institute for trainees besides analyzing the training being imparted. He also discussed various issues pertaining to the improvement of training in the institute and sharpening of training skills to enhance their professional capabilities.
Earlier, the DGP also released the first edition of School Magazine of Police Public School Miran Sahib “UDHBHAV” at a simple function.
Besides others, the functions were attended by ADGPs, Naveen Agarwal, Dilbag Singh and L. Mohanty, Chairperson PWWA, K. Vijaya, IGPs, HK Lohia, M.A Khan, Yoginder Koul, SL Sharma, Danesh Rana and MA Ganai, DIG Jammu, AAWani, DDP, Parsotam Sharma, Principal PPS, Sanjiv Pradhan and other police officers.
