SHOPIAN, Apr 30: Member of Parliament Rajya Sabha, Nazir Ahmad Laway alongwith MLA Shopian Advocate Mohammad Yousuf Bhat and Deputy Commissioner Shopian G. M. Dar today visited the Government Girls Higher Secondary School Shopian (GHSSS) to inaugurate the ambulance provided by the MP under MPLADS.
The MP also provided library books and computers to the school. On the occasion MLA Shopian sanctioned Rs 5 lakh under CDF for the school.
While speaking on the occasion, the MP stressed on the need to empower girl child and stated that upliftment of women folk is among priority of present dispensation led by Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti.
On the occasion, he also announced Rs 10 lakhs for the only girls school in the district.
