Vigilance produces challan against accused public servant

SRINAGAR, Apr 30: The Vigilance Organization Kashmir today produced challan against then Range Clerk Forest Department, Budgam, who was caught red handed while demanding an accepting a bribe of Rs 1000.
Challan in case FIR No 4/2015, Under Section 5(2) Prevention of Corruption Act, against the public servant Nazir Ahmad Dar of Chewa Wadwan, Budgam, was produced before the court of Special Anti-Corruption Judge, Srinagar, presided by Yashpal Bourney.
The accused public servant had demanded and accepted a bribe of Rs 1000 from the complainant for issuance of renewed license of his Timber Sale Depot at Paripora Magam.
After accord of Government sanction for launching prosecution against the accused public servant, the Vigilance produced challan in the Court of Special Anti-Corruption Judge Srinagar for judicial determination. At the time of production of the challan, the accused was also present in the court and was released on bail. The next date of the case has been fixed on 20-05-2016.
