JAMMU, May 1: All J&K Shree Guru Ravi Dass Sabha Jammu today celebrated 125th birth anniversary of Bharat Rattan Dr B R Ambedkar by organizing a function in this connection in the premises of All J&K Guru Ravi Dass Gurudwara Krishna Nagar Jammu.
B R Kundal, former Finance Minister, Ex Chief Secy and incumbent president of the Dharmarth Trust J&K, was the chief guest on this occasion. Piran Ditta, president of All J& K Shree Guru Ravidass Sabha Jammu presided over the function.
On the occasion, B R Kundal inaugurated the new hall in the name of Bharat Rattan Baba Saheb .Ambedkar Bhawan in the premises of Gurudwara.
Piran Ditta disclosed that from during last one year, he had collected more than Rs 17 lakhs from the Biradri as donation and the same has been spent on the development of the Biradari and others works of the Gurudwara besides furnishing of new Ambedkar Bhawan.
B R Kundal appealed to the Bradari to follow the path shown by Baba Saheb and remain united for the development of State as well as for country. He stressed upon the females audience to send their child into schools and stressed for eradication of social evils in the Biradari.
The prominent persons, who attended this programme, included Tarsem Khullar, Tulsi Dass Langeh, Bodh Raj, Badri Nath, Banarsi Dass Digra, Troop Lal, Dr Raj Kumar, Tarsem Lal Bhagat, Raj Kumar, Om Parkash Digra, Master Tara Chand, Darshan Lal, Mahesh Chander, Puran Chand, Manoj Kumar, Joginder Digra, Deepak Bangotra, Sangeeta and others.
