Clear schemes for power augmentation

JAMMU, May 1: Citizens Welfare and Development Council has submitted a memorandum to Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti, seeking her attention towards poor power supply to Miran Sahib and adjoining areas.
In the memorandum, a copy of which has also been forwarded to the Deputy Chief Minister, Dr Nirmal Singh, the Council president R K Sharma has drawn attention towards lack of proper power supply to Miran Sahib area, which is being fed by existing 6.3 MVA transformer, which does not cater to the needs of vast population there.
Despite preparation of Project Report for three time to augment 33/11 KV Receiving Station Miran Sahib and installation of additional 10 MVA power transformer, the project could not be started as funds were not sanctioned for the same, the memorandum explained and appealed the CM as well as the Dy CM for their clearance to the revised scheme.
