JAMMU, May 3: Vijay Kumar is new Chief General Manager (CGM) of National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD), J&K Regional Office.
He assumed the charge after transfer of Shri Shankar A Pande, CGM to Mumbai. Vijay Kumar was earlier Chief General Manager of NABARD, Gujarat Regional Office, Ahmedabad.
Kumar joined NABARD as direct Grade ‘A’ officer in 1985 and has done his BSc in Agriculture from Acharya NG Ranga Agricultural University, Hyderabad. He has a rich experience in Agriculture and Rural Banking, Credit Planning, Microfinance Strategy Development, Liaison with State Government for infrastructure development, etc.
He has worked in various capacities in NABARD at different regional offices viz, Bhopal, Hyderabad, Guwahati, Ahmedabad apart from Head Office, Mumbai.
