JAMMU, May 3: A meeting of Pradesh Congress Committee (Migrant Cell) J&K Jammu was held today at Jagti Nagrota under the chairmanship of Shadi Lal Pandita, co-convenor of the party.
Pandita while speaking said that the coliation Government of PDP and BJP has adopted anti Kashmiri Pandit Migrant Community attitude by stopping ration supplies for past three months which has put most of the migrant families at the verge of starvation.
Pandita has said though the community had made peaceful protests, agitations and road blockades in connection with their genuine demand of release of ration quota of past three months in their favour on the previous scales of 9kg rice and 2kg atta per soul with 1kg sugar per family but the Government had turned a deaf ear to their genuine demand adding to the sufferings to this hapless community.
Others present in the meeting were Brij Nath Thussoo, Raj Kumar Tickoo, Deepak Razdan, Raj Kumar Bhat, Sunil Koul, R K Raina, Makhan Lal Raina, Shuban Raina, S L Kar, Vijay Pandita, R L Bhat, Raj Nath Dhar, Abdul Rehman Pader and Vinod Bhat.
