Remove pay anomalies: GEWJAC

JAMMU, May 3: J&K Govt Employees & Workers Joint Action Committee has urged upon the State Government to remove pay anomalies of the clerical cadre, release 6% DA of the employees and increase medical allowance from Rs 300 to Rs 2000 per month in favour of State employees and pensioners.
In a meeting of the Joint Action Committee held here today under the chairmanship of trade union leader, Babu Hussain Malik, the members urged upon then State Chief Minister and the Chief Secretary to direct the newly framed Pay Anomaly Committee to submit report within 15 days and implement the same before the adoption of 7th Pay Commission report. They further demanded regularization of daily rated/ contractual workers.
They also appealed the Govt to implement the High Court orders with regard to removal of pay anomalies in letter and spirit.
Prominent among those who attended the meeting included Bharat Bhushan, Yash Pal Sharma, Shehzadi Gill, KA Dewani, Parshotam Sharma, Jaswant Singh, Ansuiya Gupta, Inderjeet Kour and Seva Ram Rathore.
