Srinagar, May 3: Three under trial juveniles, two of whom held in militancy-related cases, including a non-local have escaped from Government-run Juvenile Home at Harwan area on the outskirts of Srinagar here.
Police said the three under trials Adil Bashir Dar (17), son of Bashir Ahmad, resident of Bargam, Tral, Mudasir Ahmad Dar (16), son of Ghulam Mohiuddin, resident of Hurdmir village, in Tral area of Pulwama district and Shamsher Sheikh (17), son of Jalal-ud-Din, resident of Lalit Ram area of Bihar fled the Home during intervening night of May 2 and May 3.
The sources said that Adil and Mudasir were arrested and subsequently put into Juvenile home for militancy related cases under FIR number 135/14 under Sections 302, 364, 201 RPC 7/25 while Shamsher Sheikh of Bihar is held under Section 302 of RPC in a case registered in Anantnag district.
Reports said the trio removed a window pane of the room they were living in and using a rope they came down the hostel building and have run away from back side of the juvenile home premises removing the concertina wires.
The two Tral juveniles were detained for at least last four months while Shamsher was being held for last two years. In this, police said, a case under FIR number 23/2016 under section 224 of RPC has been registered and investigations started.
