Girl’s timely action leads to arrest of absconder

JAMMU, May 4: The swift and timely action by a girl has led to the arrest of an absconder.
As per police sources, a car driven by Parth Singh, son of Naseeb Singh, a resident of Akhnoor, at present New Plot hit a pedestrian Ashwani Kohli of Janipur near main stop Janipur on the occasion of Lohri festival in the month of January.
Bharat Singh escaped from the spot after committing the offence, while Ashwani was shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), from where he was discharged after treatment.
A case under FIR Number 9/16 under Section 279 and 337 RPC was registered at Janipur police station and manhunt was launched to arrest the car driver.
Today, accident victim’s daughter noticed the car in Janipur area and acting swiftly, she informed the police.
After getting information, Janipur police rushed to the spot and arrested the accused car driver.
Later, the absconder car driver got bailed out from the Court.
