JAMMU, May 4: Kashmiri migrants from Jagti township staged a protest demonstration in front of Press Club here today against the failure of the State Government to supply the ration to migrant camps and some non camp localities for last three months.
The protest was organized by Jagti Welfare Committee and Relief holders jointly. The protestors raising slogans against the authorities demanded immediate supply of ration. They said that the people dependent on cash doles from Government and having no other source of income are at the verge of starvation as Government has failed to supply ration in camps for last three months.
The protestors warned to intensify agitation in case the ration was not supplied within two days. They said that the CAPD was deliberately playing mischief and creating confusion in this regard. In an appeal to Chief Minister the protestors sought her immediate intervention in the matter.
