Chauhan reviews facilities at Blind School, Working Women Hostel

JAMMU, May 5: Commissioner/Secretary, Social Welfare Department, Sarita Chauhan along with Director Social Welfare Jammu, Vir Jee Hangloo visited Blind School and Complex of Working Women Hostel located at Roop Nagar Muthi today.
She also visited village Ghaink Kote-Bhalwal to see the 39 kanals of land that has been recently transferred to Social Welfare Department for establishment of composite home (old age home). She took the review of the various facilities being provided to the blind children residing in blind home.
She was informed that the blind home is running since 1976 and present intake capacity is 25 inmates which will be enhanced up to 50 inmates after completion of first floor of the building.
While taking stock of building complex of Working Women Hostel, she impressed upon making the hostel functional taking into consideration all the security aspects for lodging of working women in the hostel.
While taking review of the land transferred to Social Welfare Department for running of composite home, she expressed her concern about the accessibility of the land with the main road.
