JAMMU, May 5: The activists of Jammu West Assembly Movement held a protest rally against the ERA PWD R&B, JMC Ministries, for the worst basic amenities and road conditions of West Assembly constituency.
The protest rally was led by Sunil Dimple, JWAM president, wherein the protesters raised slogans against the ERA, PWD R&B and JMC for the worst condition of the, Sarwal, New Plot, Rehari, Rajpura Mangotrian, Bakshi Nagar, Talab Tiloo and all the roads alleging that no development has been made in the area, which lacks basic amenities including worst traffic problem and pollution in the West constituency.
Amidst sloganeering they demanded resignation from the sitting MLA of the constituency.
Dimple served one week ultimatum to the ERA, PWD R&B, JMC and the BJP-PDP Government that if the black topping of all the West constituency roads was not completed by May 15, the ‘Jan Andolan’ will be started.
He urged the Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti to start the construction of flyovers at Rehari Chungi and Jewal Chowk.
He also demanded for the construction of alternative four way circular road from Amphalla -Manda to Bantalab via High Court- Janipur and Roop Nagar.
Dimple also alleged that the residents of the West constituency are not getting basic amenities and there was acute scarcity of drinking water and demanded starting work on the construction of the Chenab water project.
