JAMMU, May 6: Panun Kashmir today warned the Government of India about the dangers of soft peddling with a growing multi pronged seditious Intifada in Kashmir valley.
The policies pursued with regard to terrorist –separatist war in J&K demonstrates a proclivity to abdicate and have only resulted in volcanic separatist eruptions, PK convener, Dr Agnishekhar and its chairman Ajay Chrungoo told reporters here, today.
They said the soft peddling has not only helped this intifada to grow but also facilitated its spill over into areas of Jammu region.
PK holds the view that the present Intifada is a three pronged assault on sovereignty of the nation in the State of J&K, said Dr Ajay Chrungoo, its chairman. Its one arm is terrorism, other is seditious mobilization and the third arm is governmental collaboration in terms of instituting measures which smack of abdication of authority and accommodation of secessionism, he added.
PK has a very clear perception that the often weak policy of winning the hearts and minds of people by both the State government and the Union government has only resulted in doubly empowering the separatists, said Dr Agnishekhar, its convener. He said the recent qualifying of the separatists and secessionists as citizens of India with full rights to meet every body and any body has officially licensed the separatists to continue with its anti-national agenda and wage a subversive war from within. Separatists / Secessionists now enjoy a status of citizens of India and the leaders of anti India movement who hold almost a veto to legitimize to reject government policies, he added.
Dr Agnishekhar described the government policy of public removal of security bunkers and pickets as was done in Handwara recently as an act of hitting the credibility of the security establishment particularly that of Indian army.
He said the places from where the army has been removed are in no time described officially as peace parks only projects to the world that Indian security establishments particularly the Indian army are instruments which disturbing peace rather than guaranteeing it.
“We reject the policy of GOI on return of Hindus of Kashmir and urge the Government to desist from making the internally displaced Hindus as guinea pigs’’, said Dr Chrungoo. He urged both Union a s well as State Governments to stop their policies of harassing Kashmiri Hindus by stopping the ration supplies to them.
PK senior leader O N Trisal and Daya Krishan were also present in the press conference.
