JAMMU, May 7: Fulfilling the demand of residents of Subash Nagar and Toph Sherkhania areas of Jammu West, State president, BJP and MLA Sat Sharma (CA) kickstarted macadamization works from Subash Nagar Chowk. Accompanied by a large number of people including officials of PWD (R&B), Sharma started the major infrastructural work in the presence of a large number of people including many local residents and political activists.
The works will be done under the supervision of PWD (R&B) Department at an estimated cost of around Rupees 25 lakh and the stretch covered under the project covers road starting from Subash Nagar Chowk to Toph Sherkhania Bridge (Near Best Price) covering all areas of Toph.
Speaking on the occasion, Sat Sharma said that it is one of the major main roads of the Constituency and people in thousands pass through this road daily so it is his prime responsibility to provide masses with best infra possible.
He said many complaints were received pertaining to minor and major accidents of two wheelers on this road and after taking up the works of its macadamization, no problem will persist in future and top quality of works will be provided to the masses.
He also appealed to the masses to ensure quality check of the works going on in their areas and said that if any work is being done of spurious quality, the people can approach him anytime so that no compromise is made on quality of the works.
He also stressed upon promoting the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to build a clean and green nation and also appealed everyone to come forward and contribute in the noble cause.
